RPi install booting but no web interface. How do I get back in?

My hass.io install runs on a Pi3 and has been up and running for a few days quite nicely.
I made the mistake of editing the configuration.yaml file and, even though I checked the config before restarting, it now won’t come back online.

If I try and SSH into the machine it says connection refused, so that’s go good.

I have the Pi running next to me on a monitor with a keyboard and monitor plugged in, so I can access it directly. When it boots I can get in to the root environment without a password, but there’s nothing else I can see that I can do.

How can I get the install back up and running?

Thanks.

Revert the configuration.yaml changes

Um…yes? I thought that was a bit too obvious to state. My question is, how? I can’t access it via samba, ssh or the web interface and I don’t seem to be able to do anything by logging in directly. How am I supposed to access the file?

Can you ping it?
Did your ip get changed for some reason?
Try an ethernet cable.
Did you try with https?

What was the last change you made before restarting?
