Rpi3 and Home assistant

I was using Raspberry pi 3 with Raspberry pi OS and Supervised installation of Home Assistant. This rpi3 was used as a remote node. The primary Hassos is on Rpi4.

As the Supervised installation was depreciated, I had to change to Hassos in the rpi3. This became a unstable installation. I lost connection with the remote node often. I doubted the internet connection on the remote location so brought it in my home. The pi was unstable and rebooted often.

As checking in the web, I was suggested to change the sdcard to a High Endurance SDcard or a usb SSD. I purchased a 128gb SSD restored the backup on it.

Still facing the same problem of freezing and rebooting, I changed to the High Endurance 64gb SDcard solution. The problem is not solved. I did a fresh install without restoring the backup. There is no addons installed besides file editor, esphome, zerotier, Advanced ssh & terminal and Samba.

Raspberry pi OS works fine with occasional freezing and no reboots. Hassos is not working as desired. I just want to use be as remote node to monitor and control devices.

Also, if you haven’t seen this: (from Docs → Installation)

Since the RPi3 has only 1GB RAM…

Since I was using my rpi3 on a Supervised installation of Home Assistant and as a remote node should I install an older version of hassos which should work. I will not update the os but do a core update.

Is the older version of the OS still available.

Seems to be something with the OS version.

I want to upgrade the OS version.

I issued command to stop core but is taking a long time.
ha core stop

After long time the pi rebooted.
On restart I issued
ha core stop
os update
Error: 'osmanager update ’ blocked from execution…

core update
Processing…

I am using a 3A power adaptor but still the red led goes off & on.

I downloaded the os to 17.0 and noticed it to be stable. Checked for 15 minutes with no reboots. The core is the same.

I get some messages on the console which is attached.

Only usb keyboard is connected to USB port.

Update: 2 hours and no reboot. I will keep the OS version.

On PI3, the LAN is managed via a USB Device, directly soldered and connected on the board.
