Hi! I have a RPI4, a Shelly BLU gateway stick and two Shelly BLU H&T termometers.
Is it possible to log the temp from these devices without any existing wifi?
I cant access the current wifi in the building, nor want to be dependent on it.
However, from what I understand, the gateway and the rpi needs to be on the same network?
Anyone that has any good suggestions?
If you walk out there every hour with a thermometer and a clipboard, then write the temp down, sure.
Seriously there needs to be networked to something to record anything. A local server maybe you can write data to an SD card and use sneeker-net?

Ofc. I intended to use the RPI4 with Home-assistant installed to be the recorder.
However, I dont want to rely on any existing wifi. Imagine Im setting this up in an enviroment without ant existing wifi.
Run an ethernet cable or fiber optic link.
Point to point wifi connection.
Use zwave LR instead of that shelly.
Set-up a ham radio station and reciever.
send the output of the shelly to an LED matrix using WLED and point a camera at it from the house.

Do they support Bluetooth? If they do HA plus a BT dongle or BT proxy can harvest that info in real time.
