Hello everyone.
I have a Weather Station (EMOS ESW9010) on my roof. This sends data at a frequency of 868MHz to a tablet on my desk. I learned the frequency in the manual and on the devices.
Now I would like to receive this data from the weather station in Home Assistant.
For this purpose I purchased the following Kit: RTL-SDR V3 (Software Defined Radio) with Dipole Antenna (This device can receive frequencies from 500 kHz to 1.7 GHz)
In Home Assistant I installed the add-ons rtl_433 and rtl_433 MQTT Auto Discovery. It seems to work. However, I only receive data from TPMS of my Neighbor’s cars.
Is there anyone who can help me one step further? I suspect that I need to make some changes in the config. But I only see an option to add options. For example, when I enter ‘-f 868.3M’ I get an error message.
You can read more about the possible configuration options here:
Also try to search on your weather station brand and then rtl_433. Do not include Home assistant in the search because that will just limit the results.
If rtl_433 can capture the data then, then HA will import them easily afterwards.
Thanks,
I’ll take a look into that. Additional question: It is not clear to me where I am uploading the rtl_433.conf.
Perhaps a useful addition, My HA is installed on a Mini PC Celeron Gemini Lake N4000.
Probably many here, but many ask more generally about that in a new topic.
The weather station mentioned in the title might make some people skip the post, because they do not know that product.
