In the house that I recently bought, the seller left a Miele G4100 dishwasher. It doesn’t seem to have any sort of delayed start feature. I’m trying to find a way to run it on off peak overnight. It seems I can’t just fit a time switch to it, because it is started by pressing a button on the front panel, and the button doesn’t do anything if there is no power. The machine doesn’t remember that the button has been pressed. Does anyone know a way round this problem? If I can’t find a better way, I am considering fitting a wireless (WiFi or Zigbee) relay in parallel with the button. If this is the solution, can you recommend the best/cheapest hardware device to do this?
Thank you - Rowan
