Cheers, yeah I have 3x separate solar inverters 2x are growatt and another urenergy. I’m away atm but when I’m home I’ll connect to the inverter later tomorrow and see what those registers say. Thanks! I assume there’s no way to make a virtual serial port over wifi?
Good morning, as you may have read in my first post, I’m new to the subject.
Could you tell me how to integrate the Addon you indicate to me?
some important register missing in the PDF from SAJ. I have check the data and register ar corect:
16743 4167 2 Sum FeedIn Today Uint32 -2 Kw h R Sum of all phases Note: These register are not listed in the official PDF document of SAJ.

This night the AIO3 to my H2-10K-T2 stopped responding to my modbus tcp requests and it no longer responds to ping either.
Using the eSAJ home app seems to work fine.
Have tried restarting the whole inverter, but didn’t help.
Anyone experienced something similar and knows a solution?
Have you restarted AIO3?
There is a red button on the AIO3. Go to the Restart or Reload menu
Do you have the SAJ O&M app?
Password is “123456” Go to the AIO3 menu
You can also perform a restart there
My AIO3 has firmware version 1.202
Hardware: 1.001
Did the restart from the module, but didn’t help. The version is 1.200.
Restarted the first switch it is connected to as well.
However, when connecting the ethernet cable thru my laptop with bridged ethernet interfaces to be able to Wireshark it, it started to work, and now it works without my laptop as well.
I exchanged a faulty switch in my network yesterday, but that was several hours before it stopped working.
Mysterious…
Hi, i have the same problem. Does anyone know what needs to be entered in the Modbus setting in the Wallbox?
Voltage, Current for L1,L2,L3 and active Power are requested.
Thank you very much.
More of a SAJ H2 question then HA:
My setup has > 10kWp panels installed (split towards east and west), but as long as the battery is not full, the H2 can export 10k and charge the battery with the rest, so I want to control so the battery is charged “slowly” during peak hours to not limit the solarpower, and not be fully charged in 1-2 hours.
If I set charge power, that seems to be the minimum value in addition to the solar power, so that it buys from grid - not very intuitive.
The workaround that seems to work is to set Discharge power to the minimum 100W, then it will discharge slowly if there is no sun, but still charge if the solar power is > 10kW
Any better solution?
@stanus74 Managed to get my H2 inverter/battery combo online via Modbus. The first query works just fine, but then trips up on something and doesn’t re-query for new data. Rebooting HA refreshes the data once then stops. Also tried disabling all sensors that weren’t picking up data to stop those trying to query over modbus.
Here is my log of HA. I’m no programmer sadly
Example - Grabs data once, then will not probe again in configured time (60 seconds).
AIO3 v1.201 via WiFi
If you are using the AIO3, set the interval time to no less than 60 seconds.
The connection of the AIO3 is not as stable as with an Elfin10 RS232 to Wifi Adater.
Sometimes connection problems occur.
Does the AIO3 have a good WIFI connection? Also check with the QmodMaster if you can read out data manually.
How is everybody finding their IP address for the their inverter? my Google Wifi Hub lists all devices, but there are heaps that dont have names, so I have no Idea which one to use…
Not sure if you are trying to solve this 2 years later, but I think its the type of Dongle. the AIO3 dongle do not let you connect to the inverter, they only send data to the cloud your app on the phone access that. Or you log on to the portal website
The code fragments don’t work for me. This is what I see in the HA log file:
2024-04-26 17:21:34.854 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.modbus.modbus] Pymodbus: modbus-saj: Error: device: 1 address: 16495 → pymodbus returned isError True
What does this mean?
I checked with QModMaster and was able to connect successfully on the IP of the AIO3 and port 502 (but not able to read data). My AIO3 firmware is 1.202. HW version 3.1
Have you set “Read Holding Register 0x03” and for example 16544 and Coils 2 ?
did the portscan work? is port 502 shown as open?
This is how it looks at my end. Portscan works, port 502 is reported as open. Unfortunately, it still does not read data.
@stanus74 Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you.
My AIO3 has Modbus TCP port open så I log things using that and plan to automate things as well.
Sometimes a bit shake even thought connected using ethernet cable, I poll every 10th second or so.
you can try another Unit ID 0
the hardware version of your AIO3 is different. I have 1.00.1
if it does not work, you can only ask SAJ if it is due to the HW version or something else
or use Elfin10a TCP Converter
Hello,
I have a saj sununo plus 3k-m
And ordered a Elfin-EE10A
How doni connect it to my saj inverter?
Here is also the connection schematic
