Samba not available

Dear forum members,
My samba server is not accessible via windows explorer. The SMB protocol is already in good condition, I have already reinstalled the add-on and it still does not work. “could not find the network path.” This is on every PC in my network.

Yes, I tried that too

Just try it in win explorer. Sometimes the samba share did not show up in the network list.
If you try in explorer use the host name (hassio) of your install.

Did you allow the hosts in your samba config?

What’s the IP of your hassio install?

That is 192.168.10.53 (intern)

Are you running HassOS/Hassio or did you install Hassio on Ubuntu ? If on Ubuntu it is the ufw that is blocking access.

Are you able to ping 192.168.10.53 from your clients (computers etc.)?

Which version of hass.io do you use?

Had the same problem. After adding the following to the config:

"interface": "eth0"
"192.168.178.0/16"

it’s working now.

But the share was not avaibale in explorer under network. So I used \\hassio in explorer. Than I was able to see the folders. After a reboot of the PC, the network drives were available under network.

Can I still use it via WiFi?

Use:

wlan0

and try to change

"192.168.0.0/16"

to

"192.168.10.0/16"

Just asking, why do you prefer WiFi? Reliability and speed are better for a wired connection, and I personally always prefer wired connection whenever possible.
