Those are unrelated error messages. To control the AC you need to select a mode which you want to use, either cool, heat or heat and cool, not the power button, as that one just turns it off.
With the amount of information that you are supplying it is hard to troubleshoot what is your problem, but my guess you have some netwrok issue or some “special” network setup.

I installed another HAOS as VM under Proxmox running on tiny PC, and connected to the same LAN of the old HAOS system.
I moved the wifi connection to an access point (with DHCP disabled) which is closer than the router to increase signal strength. the clima IP is set static in the router.
In both HAOS systems climate_ip is installed, the configuration file has its dedicated section, I can see the temperatures but pressing the various bottons (cool, heat, fan…) either does nothing or gives the error:

Another symptoms is when I change the temperature or other settings and I got this message:
This is something completely different.
This happens on mine as well, you need to set modes correctly.
Edit the card and add the features like this and set the modes.
Otherwise you can post the state attributes of the entity, to see what are the modes on the AC. (Developer tools/States/Set state and select the climate entity and it will show the state attribues.)
By the way, is it the built in Thermostat card or something custom similar?
