Schedule Periodic Lights Off During Daylight Hours

Greetings,

I have several Z-Wave (Z-Wave JS) switches for outdoor lights that are frequently turned on during daylight hours. I am looking for the best way to send an “off” signal to all of those switches during daylight hours only.

I’ve searched for this subject, but unable to find a solution.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Use an automation with a sun condition (above horizon).

Thank you.

I’ve tried creating an “Automation”, and used the Condition you recommended. It works, however I was required to add one “Device” at a time, else it errors out.

My problem however is scheduling it, right now it needs to be triggered manually. How do I get this to run between sunset and sundown every X number of minutes?

Thanks again!

Not sure what you mean by that.

Using time pattern triggers is rarely the best way to do things. Base your triggers on state changes. i.e. What do you want to trigger the automation?

Each light being on for x minutes sounds like the triggers you need.
