once every day or so the keypad on the Schlage Connect goes dead. No lights, no button presses, etc. I keep checking the “Z-Wave Lock Keypad temporary disabled” field and that is sometimes On but today is Off, and the keypad still dead. Turning the deadbolt manually updates the lock status in the app to Locked/Unlocked and Secured/Unsecured. And the app can Unlock/Lock. But the keypad remains disabled. Vacation Mode is off.
I also have this issue with the lock going offline randomly (not always at the same time as the dead keypad issue). But other z-wave devices remain functional, so its not the HomeAssistant server or z-wave hub going offline.
Since the doorlock is a new install, I’m not 100% convinced its not a hardware issue.
UPDATE: Seems the cable connector for the keypad PCB is loose/defective. Wiggling the connector brings the keypad back to life for a while. But closing the door disrupts the physical connection. So will be replacing the item.
