Schluter DITRA-HEAT-E-RS1 WiFi SMART THERMOSTAT

Hi All,
I have the thermostat above controlling floor heat in my bathroom. I have found the Schluter integration, but this doesn’t work as it is for a previous version device that uses different cloud backend. The app works great, but I’d really like to get this into HA to include in some home/away functionality.
I don’t know where to start to try to make this work, or to make a new integration, can anyone give me some guidance?

That name sounds very Tuya based. Will the smartlife integration on a phone connect to it? If so there is a core integration that uses Tuya cloud and many custom integrations that talk to Tuya stuff.
Tuya is a mess to deal with because hundreds of mom & pop mfgrs use their chips and all implement them a little differently. Nothing is standard and compliant with the rest of the world.

Sorry, I should have been more specific with the device. It is a Shluter thermostat, which has an official integration for its wifi thermostat, but that is a slightly different model. I doubt it’s a Tuya relative, with the product being german origin.

Have you tried adding it as a HomeKit Device? Someone else here reported success with that approach: Schluter DITRA-HEAT Home Assistant Integration - #56 by kalinon

No, I am trying very hard to get rid of any big tech cloud stuff, the schluter integration seems to work now. I’m likely to get rid of this thermostat and install or make something that works locally. I try to have my devices local, and use home assistant via a tailscale connection for any remote actions. This is one of a few that are still cloud connected. It’s hard to do, but everyday I’m reminded of the erosion of privacy and big tech having far too much data about me
