Is anyone using Schneider’s CCTFR6710 module in Home Assistant without a Wiser hub / and or without Wiser thermostats?
A friend of mine has 8 heaters he’d like to control but we’d love to skip the Wiser hub since this is a Zigbee device.
However, given the fact that this is quite specific in terms of settings, maybe it doesn’t work or won’t display all the properties we need to exploit the module.
For the curious ones, the “fil pilote” is a way to give instructions to a heater , it transmits orders on how to run.
Of course now modern radiators can have native Zigbee connectivity and better control but … when you have existing heaters it is an interesting solution.
I can confirm that NodOn SIN-4-FP-21 works with Z2MQTT. Your Schneider device looks quite similar so it might be just a white label, but I have not tested it.
So I went ahead and bought the CCTFR6700 from Schneider (which is not a micro module but same features) , in the regular ZHA integration the amount of info and controls exposed is limited
Look at the “Exposes” section to compare with what’s available in Z2M for CCTFR6700.
Warning, mostly AI text ahead:
The core difference between Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA lies in their approach to device compatibility and feature exposure:
Zigbee2MQTT supports the full range of features, as long as the device is on its compatibility list, often unlocking advanced functionality.
ZHA aims for broad technical compatibility with all Zigbee-compliant devices but typically limits functionality to what’s defined in the Zigbee standard, which can result in fewer exposed features for some devices.
