Scrambled helper cannot be fixed nor deleted

Dear All,

I have created a helper based on “Verbrauchszähler” (Meter?).
Now I changed something on the underlying sensors, I suspect…I am not sure what.

The helper shows in the overview with a red sticker with an exclamation mark inside.
HA1

When I click on it, the configuration opens like this:

As far as I can see there are a lot of field missing to fix my problem!!? Isn’t it?

I cannot even delete it the way I would delete any other helper:

I have checked where these helpers are stored, but in the main-folder next to configuration.yaml, automations.yaml and more…I do not see any helpers.yaml. So this is the wrong way.

I would assume - from a perspective of a software developer, something is going really wrong while collecting the data to display the config (for repair). Well, that is fine for me.

But at least catching this error and allowing me to delete my “garbage” and start from scratch would be “nice”.

Does someone have an idea how to remove it?

Many thanks in advance, kindest regards Jörg

I understand it’s not “obvious” but seems like somehow you have to “edit/complete” the helper, before being able to delete it ( If it’s not obvious that it’s a yaml-made helper, which also appear in the Helper Page )
Below Topic has a “solution description”, not similar as your case, but maybe you can get a hint what and where to edit, to complete it, So you can delete it
I know it sounds kind of absurd !
Help with garage door configuration .

Go to the integration page for utility_meter.

There should be a config_entry here for this sensor. You can delete it there.

Ahh,my German is not good, didn’t realize it was an utility_meter entity

I don’t know how your Dutch is, you might think we are nuts and try to measure how bad it is:

Edit: I just noticed the icon scores us a three out of four on the nutsmeter

Well actually i find Dutch a very interesting Language, as it’s a mix of lots of countries , German, english etc. and even danish if i recall right

I have many Danish colleagues and some words seem highly familiar, so it is very likely we borrowed words from them too. I would presume Danish viking influence.

I guess also many Dutch People is also mutual “Laid Back” as many Danish people

We share a highly similar culture in many ways, but we’re slightly less respectful of authorities I would say.

More People ( In the whole World ) Should Be ! :joy:
