I just got three Screek 2A and have never used them (or any presence sensor) before.
I was able to get it connected to my wifi by connecting my iphone to the Screek’s wifi SSID.
But I can’t get it into HA.
I followed the instructions, but they basically say that HA will discover a new device – my HA does now.
I see it received an IP of 192.168.2.158 from my DHCP server. Browsing to that IP does not result in a successful connection. The device has no open ports.
I did not have esphome integration set up, but I did have an esphome add-on installed, so I thought that was the integration I was supposed to have.
And, when I had tried to install the integration it asked for a host. I tried the ip of the HA server, but that didn’t work. So I put in the IP of the device and it works.
Now I have to figure out how to use it. I see it created a bunch of sensors.
I’ve actually been wondering that too since I wrote that post. I did some Googling but it all refers to the IP of your ESP32 device. I can’t really check on my setup because the integration is already added. So maybe ignore my advice.
Are you sure you tried the static IP address of your home assistant server?
When I get a chance, I’ll add another device using the same method and hopefully the ESPhome integration will simply say “2 devices” instead of showing 2 integrations.
Just added a second Screek 2A, entered the device’s (the 2nd Screek 2A) IP address and it added the device as another device under the esphome integration:
