SD card -> SSD disk // RPi 4B -> RPi 5

Hello,
I have a Raspberry Pi 4b with an SD card only.
Is it worth upgrading to Raspberry Pi 5 and SSD disk?
I already have Pi 5, so I will only need to buy the disk and perhaps Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+. I believe it should be a more reliable solution.
What do you think?
Will it be a problem to back up everything and transfer to SSD without losing anything?

Two separate issues.

Yes, a faster Pi with a faster drive cannot be a bad thing. Make sure your HAT, SSD, and Pi are compatible - some aren’t.

As for data migration - install a fresh version if HomeAssistant on your new system, and then restore a backup from your old and everything should come across.
