Searching returns a huge list that does not include the search word. The one expected result that normally would be expected is buried 3/4 the way down in the list.
Anyone know how to fix this?
This happens in all searches including Automation/scenes/script/blueprints, entity pickers and so on.

Can you post an example or two of Keywords you used and the results you got?

Saying that here means nothing.
I still donât understand why we should vote at all to fix what was a perfectly working search bar (for many years I might add). Was working. Now broken. Roll back. Simple.
Because no-one is scanning the posts made in the forum.
The developers work on FR (Feature Requests) and bugs reported on GitHub. If more people report that they are not happy with how it currently works, there is a better chance someone will start working on fixing it.
Know that there is a broad âthis is where we want to go with HAâ, however a lot of the work is done by engaged volunteers.

I really love HA, and have for years, but the concept someone just deploys a âfeatureâ and f%^&s up previously working key tools within it boggles me endlessly. Then we have to vote to get enough airtime on it to roll it back.

The File editor search isnât broken right now/yet
Does anyone know if we can search in a file editor for entities? Is there just a flat file we could look up what entities exist?
Like the information under âsettingsâ > âDevices and Servicesâ > âEntitiesâ? Or am I misunderstanding what you need?

No. âFeature Requestsâ was officially ignored a few months ago. Officially, the devs only pay attention to issues on GitHub. But there are open issues dating back to 2018, so donât get your hopes up.
What am I missing from the OPâs question? My 36-inch screen isnât big enough to make out what the screenshot is saying, but it looks like OP is trying to search for a word in an automation? I have over 200 automations and when I search for any with the word âlanding lightâ, I get only the four automations with âlanding lightâ in the name.
You mean there are no longer feature requests on the forum? Cause I assume the change to the search was made consciously by a dev and a bugreport wonât make it not work as designed. So yes: I meant FR in GitHub.
