Searching returns a huge list that does not include the search word. The one expected result that normally would be expected is buried 3/4 the way down in the list.
Anyone know how to fix this?
This happens in all searches including Automation/scenes/script/blueprints, entity pickers and so on.

Can you post an example or two of Keywords you used and the results you got?

Just fix it the way it was?
Has been working fine for years, now, broken and unusable.
It is the only way to get the devs to notice it needs fixing.

Saying that here means nothing.
I still donāt understand why we should vote at all to fix what was a perfectly working search bar (for many years I might add). Was working. Now broken. Roll back. Simple.
Because no-one is scanning the posts made in the forum.
The developers work on FR (Feature Requests) and bugs reported on GitHub. If more people report that they are not happy with how it currently works, there is a better chance someone will start working on fixing it.
Know that there is a broad āthis is where we want to go with HAā, however a lot of the work is done by engaged volunteers.

Sigh.
I really love HA, and have for years, but the concept someone just deploys a āfeatureā and f%^&s up previously working key tools within it boggles me endlessly. Then we have to vote to get enough airtime on it to roll it back.
The File editor search isnāt broken right now/yet
Does anyone know if we can search in a file editor for entities? Is there just a flat file we could look up what entities exist?
Like the information under āsettingsā > āDevices and Servicesā > āEntitiesā? Or am I misunderstanding what you need?
