Second hand HA Green not working

I just bought a second hand HA green. When I plugin the ethernet cable and then the power cable only the white LED turns on, and no yellow light comes on. Also the LED’s on my router are not blinking, so I tried both a different cable and a different port on my router, but no success.

Rebooting via the button on the back also doesn’t do anything. I haven’t hooked up a monitor yet.

But has anybody any idea what could be wrong and what I could do? (Besides a broken ethernet port ;-))

Thanks in advance

Plug this into a search engine, should have some hints for you…

There’s little point in guessing when you can just connect a monitor.

You think I would be here if I found the answer there?

Hello Voogd,

I think many people have difficulty searching here, and not knowing the answer myself, I was trying to provide some possible answers.
The search included at least 60 HA Docs references and Community examples, so the answer had a great chance of being there without the noise from YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, and other sources that I have no trust in.

I am sorry that I wasn’t helpful.

If you haven’t yet, plug it in and hook up a monitor as it might give you some insight… Also actually try browsing to http://homeassistant.local:8123. It might be that the previous owner turned off the yellow ‘heartbeat’ light (I did).

It could also be that they just wiped the system clean to protect any private data that they may have had in there (I would), in which case you’re likely going to need an SD card to flash the system again (I would have done that before selling it).

Any and all instructions can obviously be found on the manufacturer website Nabu Casa - Home Assistant Green

(What Happy said and which was one of the top links in what I sent, BTW @Voogd )
