Seeed Studio - Delivery issue resolved

Hi

Be aware when ordering from seeed studio. I ordered the new ha connect an my order has been marked as delivered when it hasn’t (I have a doorbell camera so I am sure no one came).
I am not able to contact seeed studio nor the carrier.

I guess ha connect won’t be for me.

They are a reputable company and will assist you.

Seems to me as it’s a currier fault and not manufacturer fault.
I have ordered from them and it has worked fine.

Try the usual:

  • Ask your neighbors
  • Contact the nearest drop shop for that carrier company. Over here, it happens regularly that “low-cost” carriers deliver immediately to a drop shop to save the time coming to you.
  • Contact the carrier

Yes I tried [email protected], tried to call their Chinese number (I speak Chinese) and 4px (carrier) number but no reply from anyone.
I live in a very safe place so no theft possible and again I have a camera so I can see that no one came at the alleged time of delivery.
Definitely using a cheap carrier that lost the parcel and marked it as delivered. Would be better if I could reach anyone.

I’ve had similar things happen to me multiple times. Always due to the carrier and not the manufacturer. It’s not like they can tell them to mark it as delivered, I hope. And cheap carrier or not doesn’t matter in my experience, I’ve had this happe with big-name brand carriers like DHL, UPS, DPD, national post service, you name it. At least here in NL, they all employ cheap labour that is incentivized to work quickly more than accurately.
Seeed not replying to you is odd though. They have plenty of customers who received their goods normally (including me), they’re not some shady fake shop.

Me too. DHL “lost” my package at the depot, the supplier kindly sent a replacement and they “lost” that too. I will now drive some distance to visit a shop rather than use mail order. Sadly a bit difficult with HA stuff.

On my side cainiao is 100% to blame. The worst carrier in Singapore. Seeedstudio has replied the email and checking with them.

I’m pretty sure seed manufactures the green and other HA hardware.

Thanks all. I am not sure if this post helped but seeed helped me contact the carrier and it was delivered at a wrong address. They managed to recover and redeliver the parcel!
