Hello Home Assistant Community,
I’m currently using a Ring security camera system and am looking to replace it with cameras that integrate seamlessly with Home Assistant. I’m running Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi and using Nabu Casa for remote access. My primary requirements are ease of setup and remote viewing capabilities through iOS devices.
What I’m Looking For:
-
Battery-Powered Cameras: I need Wi-Fi cameras that are battery-powered for certain areas where wiring is not feasible.
-
Plugged-In Cameras: For some areas, I can use Wi-Fi cameras that require a power source.
-
Floodlight Camera: I’m also in need of an outdoor floodlight Wi-Fi camera, preferably with a solar charging option.
-
Doorbell Camera: Lastly, I’m looking for a Wi-Fi doorbell camera to complete the setup.
Additional Requirements:
-
Remote Viewing: I’d like to be able to view the cameras via Home Assistant on my iPad when I’m at home and via the Home Assistant app on my iPhone when I’m away.
-
Plug-and-Play: I’m looking for cameras that are easy to set up without having to mess with YAML files or any coding.
-
Dashboard Devices: I’m using iOS iPads and iPhones as dashboards for Home Assistant.
I appreciate any suggestions or experiences you can share. Thank you in advance!
