I would find it useful to have a selection that acknowledges that I know it is unsupported - and ignore the check (or at least the daily reporting of the check.)
I do know that there are many people running unsupported software who have mentioned the desire to turn this off. (You can keep the check - but just offer disabling the message.)
There is already an “ignore” message, you could simply add a “ignore permanently” or “disable unsupported message” selection, that could pop up a warning that the user “understands and acknowledges that by selecting this option they will not receive this check and notification in the future.”
You could even add an option to run the check manually or reenable it.
Bypassing the reporting of the message is all I’m recommending, as there are enough notifications for system updates etc… I think disabling this one from popping up (…daily for me…) would be a vast improvement.
