Hi all, I have a Sense Energy Monitor, using the Sense energy integration. The data has gotten really bad recently, eg, here’s my yearly energy usage… jumping all by itself by hundreds of kWh. Anyone know if this is still up to date, still working? Sense still exists they just integrated their product directly in new utility meters, you can still install their app brand new via power companies with such meters… but this data just looks really wrong. Anyone else in this situation?

Sorry what? Your “total energy used this year” can never go down… it’s literally impossible for a graph of total energy usage to look like this.
I don’t see the graph going down…
(pretty hard to tell, though)

### The problem
On March 24th, my sense integration started reporting negative … values for my grid energy used (see Fig. 1, blue bars should be positive only) throwing off my electrical usage/production data.
I looked into the statistics of the yearly sensor (sensor.sense_1000000631_yearly_energy) and found that the data had become very 'spikey' oscillating between the correct (high) value and some incorrect arbitrary low value. (See Fig. 2) You can see how the data appeared as a smooth line prior to March 24th.
Specifically, every hour (nearly on the hour) the reading appears correct starting the high point of the peak, then 5 minutes later it drops to this arbitrary low value and continues reading that low value until the start of the next hour. (see Fig. 3)
The charts for Monthly and Hourly Energy appear similar, short spikes with long valleys.
There's nothing in my Logs regarding Sense Energy Monitor, and nothing else appears to be effected, just this bad data being read in.
