I have one of the wiser branded Sense energy monitors, and now that they are “supported” by Schneider, and the HA sense integration is no longer working. Is there another way to get these to work in HA?
I have the same problem. It’s using a whole new set of servers and login.
The new app also sucks, but that’s unrelated to home assistant. I’m going to try to reach out to Sense and see if I can get a sense unit that will match up with the wires that are already installed so I can just swap it.
Let me know if that works…. I was under the impression that Sense wasn’t in business anymore….
They are still for sale. I found a open box but new unit of the latest gen sense for $100. Should be here in a week or so.
keep me posted… solution #2 would be if there’s a way to flash these things with a “sense” firmware instead of the wyse/schneider…
I just found a orange one on ebay for $75, ordered it, we’ll see what happens
I have the same issue. Got the email that I had to use the Wiser app and setup everything again. Nothing works in HA now with the old sense integration. Let me know if you find a work around…I’m thinking as well.
I looked all over hoping that someone had figured how to put a sense firmware on a wiser unit, but looks like these aren’t popular enough to warrant that kind of attention.
I just received one of the original Sense branded (the orange ones) monitor I got off eBay for around $70 (the monitor only, no cables/antenna), plugged it in and it worked. Only trick was that I had to open a new Sense account since the one I opened originally was migrated to Wiser and then Schneider. But long story short, it’s feeding info into HA again… now I just have to wait for the new monitor to start recognizing devices…
Thanks for the suggestion, I might have to do the same. My Sense/Wiser app suddenly stopped working this morning around 2am. The Wiser app forced me to download the new Schneider home app and I can’t even get it to finish the configuration/setup. The only thing that is going to be a pain is that I had bunch of devices that took a very long time to discover, I’m not looking forward to re-doing it all again.
