Other question, would device be ok to be ceiling mounted. Ofcourse the zones will be nonfunctional as view is not ‘sideway’ and movement would be lateral instead of ‘away’ and ‘incoming’

You could hang it from the ceiling, but for optimal performance, it’s better to mount it on the wall or at an angle facing downward.

I’m also testing one. The operation reminds me of Aqare, but I admit that for a few days of testing it works better for me. Sometimes he sees ghosts, especially if another person appears, but after a while it subsides. At the moment, positive impressions.

Hi Sander, I’ve checked a few things again, but at the moment I don’t see any possibilities in the firmware. It’s likely possible in the config .yaml, as someone on Discord mentioned. I hope that helps!
Hi everyone! Here is a short update: We have now sold over 300 units! I’ve put the finishing touches on the 10 zones firmware and upgraded all versions with the configurable detection range entity. In addition, I gave our GitHub repository a little makeover to include a “base” folder for the standard firmware and a “custom” folder for the 1s interval and 10 zones firmware.

So if I have this sensor pointed at the entrance door 1 meter from it will it detect a person on the other side of the door?
Yes, unless your door is made of steel, it can see through the door, even from a greater distance. If you don’t want that behavior, you can set an exclusion zone

Hello! Loving the device, so far. I do have one issue that I don’t see listed in the comments (apologies if I missed it). It appears to me that the temperature is listed at Celsius, but giving the Fahrenheit temperature. Once I have it in HA, it does a conversion so that it shows the temp at ~140 degrees Fahrenheit. Is there a config somewhere I can change that?

Are lines 734 - 842 meant to be a duplicate of lines 624 - 732?
Also, is there a reason you chose to use the text sensor for the movement and presence handling instead of the binary sensor? I find that the text sensor doesn’t expose the presence and movement as a motion class

I’m verry happy with the product! I want to add one zone to an existing sensor group, but it won’t allow me. Perhaps I’m overlooking something simple, but it would be great if I could add a zone to a group with other sensors.
