Hey people,
i really enjoy your work and try my best to be part of your community, but my english is up to need some practicing.
I often have the issue, that my mobile runs out of energy and i need to set the coordinates manually to an location.
In the “tools-area” of HA i found an option to set the gps status manually. Can i do this like a script? Something like this:
################
source_type: gps
latitude: 52.27138353763846
longitude: 71.15306520462036
gps_accuracy: 6
altitude: 243
course: 89
speed: 2
vertical_accuracy: 3
friendly_name: SM-G973F
################
Most of the automation is set on my coordinates. It will be helpful to get an “override”. Similar to: “Device xy is @homesweethome ”.

When your battery is not flat, what sets the gps?

I don´t know the “typical message”. I made an automation about reaching my home area to activate the climate and deactivate the vacuum/send it to station. The Log says, my mobile changed its geolocation to Homesweethome, the sensor is set by ha-android-app.
Even my alarm-clock for work will be set over those geolocation.

So the answer is that you are using the android companion app?
If your battery is low or empty, I assume you will use another device to set your gps. What device will you use?
