Set Insteon switch level (when touch it) depending the time of the day

Hello

I read a lot here and i think what i want it is not possible with Home assistant (but i’m suprise because i thing many people will ask for this. This is why i would like to make sure it is not possible with HA.) Sorry for my english, i speak french.

I use insteon brand light dimmer switches combined with an isy994i to make them do what I want and everything is fine.

I wanted to switch to Home Assistant but I can’t do one thing with Home Assistant (which I already do with my isy994i) is to make it so that, for example, at 9 pm, if I touch a dimmer switch, it will open at 40% of its strength (evening light) and the next morning if I touch the same dimmer switch, the light will open at 100% (day light). However after i read on this forum, it seems that this is not feasible without turning on the light and closing it quickly so that it works with HA (which I don’t want of course.)

Does sombody knows how to make Home assistant do what I do with my isy994i? (ps: I’m not a programmer so I’m struggling with the yaml.

Thanks for your help and your time

My switches have an on_level property that can be set individually through the Insteon dashboard, but I don’t see a service that jumps out at me to do that. Potentially it’s just defining a service (in the HA addon) that would give access to modifying those attributes since the functionality appears to already be there.

Thanks for the info. You gave me an idea by writing this. I will try something.
