Set number with automation

I have following automation:

The automation is started when the sensor changes to heat. But the number will not be stored. What could be wrong. By hand I can change the number -see picture

This is one: if you haven’t made this mistake, you will later. Soooo confusing. you have an input_number entity, so you need input_number.set_value. The one you used is for number entities only…

Ok thanks, I will try this. But the automation tool has made this input. I have not used my own yaml. Maybe there is some correction necessary?!
An other point with helper there is only input number not only number. How I create a number entity?

You don’t, you need the other action in the automation. Number entities are created by integrations, not the UI. I do not know what the other action is called in German. Maybe the translations are the same, hiding one in the UI? Or you typed something so it does not match? If you change it in yaml mode and switch nack to UI mode, you can see the translation.
