Setting Dimmer Switch Brightness level in Local Tuya automation

I am fairly new to HA, and am a bit confused how to achieve all my goals…

I have some TreatLife Wall Dimmer switches that I setup in the Tuya App so I could control them using LocalTuya. I am able to configure automations to turn the switches On&OFF, but am unable to set the Brightness to a specific value (I want my Bathroom lights very Bright in the morning and very Dim overnight). The only Brightness Action options I see in the automation routine ‘Then do’ section are On/Off/Toggle/Increase Brightness/Decrease Brightness.

The dimmers are DS02S units. When I added those devices to LocalTuya as Lights (not switches) I was presented with several screens that each present 5 options (showing current values), but I am not sure if I have them all configured correctly (most I left blank). I think they are OK because when I open a Dimmer in HA, I can operate the dimmer slider and it works as expected. The problem is limited to setting the brightness (not just increasing or decreasing) within an automation, not with HA overall.

Can somebody please guide me step by step as to how these dimmers can be used to HA in a way I can automate their brightness? I am trying to eliminate my dependency on my Internet provider and also speed things up.

Thanks, and I apologize if this has been answer already. My Google searches have not returned results that answer the issue for me.

UPDATE: For clarification, when I click on the Device or Entity, I am presented with what is typically an ON/OFF button that promptly turns into a slider when I click it. I can then move the slider up & down to set the current Brightness 1-100%. However, I am not seeing a way to turn it OFF (or set brightness to 0); I have to go back to the dashboard to turn it On & Off.

I also have added a couple Eighttree plug dimmers and some Sunlake smart bulbs to Local Tuya. I can turn these devices On & Off in Local Tuya but not control their Brightness (nor the color of the smart bulbs).

UPDATE 2: I discovered that if my Action was to turn the Light ON, then a Brightness level option would appear, and testing indicates that it works. HOWEVR, I am wanting to set the Brightness level without actually turning the Light ON. I am wanting to set the Brightness level to 15% @ Midnight without actually turning the Light ON - in case someone flips on the light switch at 3AM. Turning the Light ON to preset the Brightness level can be disturbing - for example at 6AM when I set it back to full brightness in preparation for somebody turning on after getting up for the day.
