First, I apologize if this is in the wrong category but I couldn’t find one that seemed to fit.
I have created several scenes in Home Assistant and created shortcuts on my Mac to activate those scenes. This allows me to say “hey Siri, night lights” and the shortcut will run that activates that scene. The shortcut has exactly one action which is the Home Assistant “activate scene” action. The shortcuts are synced to my iPhone as well. Up until a few hours ago it didn’t matter if my computer heard me or my phone heard me just scene would be activated either way. Now that is broken. Nothing has changed on my computer or my phone.
If I say “Hey Siri, night lights” my iPhone would ask me “Which one?” and present me a list of my scenes. So on my phone I go and edit that shortcut and select the scene again. Now when I say “Hey Siri, night lights” my computer will ask me “which one?”
As I said up until a few hours ago this issue did not occur. It wouldn’t matter if my phone heard me first or my computer heard me first, they would each activate scene appropriately. I have not made any changes to my phone or my computer in several weeks they have not made any changes to my home assistance set up in months. This has all been working flawlessly since I first configured it around a year ago.
I’ve tried uninstalling the home assistant app from both my phone and my computer I have tried deleting the shortcuts and re-creating them all to no avail. This wacky problem persists.
Please if anyone has any idea of what to do to get this back to the state it used to be in where it all worked I would really appreciate any help. If this isn’t the appropriate category for this question or someone has a suggestion where else to ask this or look for information I’d appreciate that as well. Before posting this I did search Google to the best liability for this as well as these forms and I’ve turned up nothing. Thanks in advance for any help.
