Setting up a second HA OS on same network

I’ve just received my Raspberry Pi of which I want to set up on the same network that I currently have HA running on a VPS. I assume the new HA wont automatically scan for other HA OS’s on the network and create a different http://homeassistant.local:8123/ route for the new device, so how can I prepare for this scenario or what can I do after setup to view the different HA instances?

I have’s used the .local part, so can’t be 100% sure, but simply using the IP address of the 2 different instances should work just fine (or use the ip address of the new one http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8321 and let the old one be. If the old one stops working for some reason, you can just use the ip there as well).

it was as simple as going into Settings > Sytem > Network and then changing the host name of my main device to say ‘homeass’ which was then available at homeass.local:8123 and the rPi then automatically available at homeassistant.local:8123

For sake of ease because of autofill in the browser etc, I then changed the rPi hostname to something different and changed my main back to homeassistant.local:8123

But yes, also just finding the IP and going to machineip.local:8123 is an option too
