Setting up mask in Frigate to ignore areas does not work :(

i live on a busy street.

so i have set up mask for Frigate to ignore the street and sidewalk as seen here:

i only care about people walking up to my steps and in the small garden area.

strangely, i still get people detection outside of the mask. what am i doing wrong?

Assuming you have set the mask correctly in the setup then looking at your screen shots and remembering that it’s the bottom middle of the detection box that counts as the trigger area, it looks like the person bounding box is literally right on the end of the mask, so may be worth increasing the mask slightly more on to your property.
