Hello, my Shelly Mini 1PM (4th Gen.) loses regulyarly connectivity to the network. I cannot reset it, nothing works. However if I disconnect from power and connect again it works again. The network quality should not be the problem, as I have other actors which are further away from the repeater. Any idea what wis wrong?
Which network might be helpful, since it can be connected in multiple ways (wifi, matter, zigbee…).
Also is it tucked inside an electrical box with other wiring
Is that box metal.
Too many variables, other that you likely have a signal problem (guessing).
Hello, yes you are right. The actor is all alone in a plastic box and the only wires are the ones for the actor. In regards to the network, I have observed the following:
- on Zigbee, loses contact more often, i.e. some 2x / week but regains contact ones I disconnect the actor from the electricity
- on Matter: actor/connectivity is more stable but once I lose contact to network I need to reconfigure the actor
Interestingly I have the same actor but on Z-Wave. Since having it for the last 3 months, never lost connectivity.
Does this lead to a pattern? Many thanks
Hi, is your zigbee network stable?
You might want to take a look at this Zigbee network optimization: a how-to guide for avoiding radio frequency interference…
I have also thought of this but honestly I hoped there might had been something else. I think I need to bite the bullet. Many thanks!
