Just noticed new, quite exciting product from Shelly - Shelly LoRa Add-on – Shelly Europe

Any idea if this would work with HA? Anybody already having first-hand experience?

Thanks for pointing this out. Looks very useful. But, like you, I am a bit in the dark about how it actually works.

Hi, I’ve just ordered a pair of addons and a pair of 1PM gen4s, and hope to work it out. Anyone managed this in HA yet?

How did you get on? Looking to use one of these Shelly LoRa devises to try and talk to an AI on the Edge sensor on my water meter 200m from the house

Yup, it’s fiddly but it works using those instructions. I managed to expose a 1pm G4 switch to HA via LoRa

Did you manage to test ranges after implantation? it would be interesting to know how far that Shelly LoRA version reaches.

Not tested in open air, but I can tell you it works fine through 100m of forest, which I’m delighted by

For curiosity, since shelly docs are bit cryptic, how it works in practice? Is remote device seen in HA as new device or sub-device/additional entities on master device? Is it possible to connect more than one device to master, or only individual one-to-one connections are possible (e.g. two remote devices connecting to two masters)? I’d be very much interested to be able to reach to few distant places on my possession to automate things, but now these places are of reach :frowning:
