Shelly Wall Display

Seems to have become obsolete.
I had to update the Shelly app on the display. After that, it worked with Shelly Elevate, too.

Hey! I checked github but the instructions still show the disassembly. Were you able to finally have the app installed without disassembly?

Hi @simllll,
does your solution also work with non-XL Shelly Displays? In the description on Git it only says Shelly Wall Display XL.
I’m also a bit confused about the installation discripion. It says to install ./shellyelevateservice.apk but I only find a ShellyElevate-v0.3.apk on Git.
Also I can’t find a home-assistant-android-minimal-*.apk, only a app-minimal-release.apk.

I tried to install the ShellyElevateService, but I get an error during the apk install

ShellyElevateService-1.0 % ./adb install -g ShellyElevate-v1.0.apk

Performing Streamed Install

adb: failed to install ShellyElevate-v1.0.apk: Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES: Failed collecting certificates for /data/app/vmdl1654909902.tmp/base.apk: Failed to collect certificates from /data/app/vmdl1654909902.tmp/base.apk: Attempt to get length of null array]

Any idea what might cause this?

Installation of the Home Assistant apk using adb does work !!

I installed the original version from the link Shelly Wall Display - #151 by RienduPre, and it works on the X2.

How do i start ADB? , i was going to the Github page, downloaded the zip but how further? do i use terminal? for the commands? also, there was written: F, H, F, F, H, F, H, H but when i go to General about. i can not type F H F F…

I have bought a new nuc with HA now i can login, but now after 7 hours there are just 2 rows on the screen, and a turning circle. So useless.

tried the stuff with adb, with Mac didnt work so i lend a pc laptop, ./adb does not work (the dot). and got: adbd cannot run as root in production builds. Too bad Home Assisstant does not run on Shelley normally as it seems, i can login but after 2 rows nothing happened:

I was having the same issue so I’ve built a signed version of the app from @simllll’s source until they have time to fix.
