Should I disable these, would it make the HA more efficient in any way?
I do, it’s just less clutter for me. Also, if I’m not mistaken, it makes for less noise for HA to have to listen for.
I do the same for sensors and diagnostics that I have no use for. Those also often create unnecessary LTS entries in your database that serve no purpose for you.
Yes, do we have to clean up our own history and I also setup the InfluxDB. Honestly I don’t know what it’s useful for.
I tried the InfluxDB/Grafana combo and it’s rather cool, but my needs are simple so I really had no use for it… out it went.
I keep nothing active that I don’t actually need, I’m not a fan of unnecessary bloat.
InfluxDB was great for long term data before we had long term statistics. Now I just use it for the fancy graphs in Grafana.
And yeah disabling unneeded entities is a good idea.
