SImplisafe requires email authentication

Just experienced SimpliSafes enforcement of email based multi factor authentication. Which requires you authenticate the connection from the same host you are logging in from. It looks like there has been some work on this. https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/38097. And that it appears this issue was addressed but seems to be back. Perhaps would not have seen it for a while if it were not looking at the logs to chase a different problem.

Is there something I am missing or is this problem back?

I noticed that an iPhone shortcut that uses an API to SimpliSafe is still working and not requesting authentication (https://api.simplisafe.com/v1/api/token).

UPDATE: removed the Simplisafe Integration. Rebooted the host. Logged into Simplisafe from my phone and MAC to confirm I can log in. Reinstalled the integration and it is working again.

What happened? No clue!!
