I have a few of these Tuya lights in my house and hooked up to Home Assistant via the LocalTuya integration.
The light has temperature controllable LEDs in the “main” portion of the light that face down and RGB-only lights that face up. These are both separately controllable when using the Tuya or Smart Life apps, but I can’t seem to control them at the same time in home assistant. When I control the RGB up-light, the main down-light turns off and vice-versa. Here is the current configuration I have for the light entity.
Just wanted to let you know that I do have the same issue with my “Brilliant Ellery” lights. When controlling the light through Alexa the same behaviour is observable so I guess this won’t be an easy fix.
I got similar lights and have the same issue. Neither the standard tuya integration nor LocalTuya are able to control both the white and colour portions at the same time.
Hey guys, I think I found out part of this solution. By manually setting the light like this, I’m able to make both RGB and white led light up at the same time. Although there are no separate switches to turn them on/off and somehow I’m not getting brightness data back although I can set the brightness. The hass will always show 100%, I’m still trying to figure that out.
I’m trying to do exactly as you say, but I can’t find that “Configure entity” menu… how did you get there?
Also, did you find a way to do this with an automation ?
