Siri asking if I want to turn scene on or off

I have several Home Assistant scenes exposed to HomeKit as switches so that I can trigger them with Siri HomePod, e.g.

“Hey Siri good evening”

would set the Good Evening scene. This has been working great for a long time, but in the last few weeks it quit working. Now Siri responds,

“Should I turn it on or off?”

So to make it work in one command I have to say

“Hey siri turn on good evening”.

Does anyone know of a better way to expose scenes to HomeKit?

Realized the exact same thing - annoying! Unsure what cause the change. I‘d bet some update to the HomePod rather than HA site. But neither have any idea how to fix it…

I have the same problem. It’s extremely tedious.
It started with HomePod version 17.4.

I think the problem is that the HA scenes are displayed as switches in Apple Home. And maybe HA is not reporting the current status of the switch correctly.

Or, as always, Apple wants to make integration with everything else worse…

If I had known HA earlier, I wouldn’t have bought any HomePods :frowning:

I may have found a workaround.
It’s not a nice solution but it worked in two short tests.
I renamed my “Good Morning” scene in HA to “Good Morning HA”.
As a result, the switch in Apple Home is now also called “Good Morning HA”.

I then created a new “Good Morning” scene in Apple Home, which activates the “Good Morning HA” switch.
And now when I say “Hey Siri good morning” it works again without asking.

But yes, it’s not a nice solution.
