SkyConnect + ZHA + Clean HASS cannot get it to work

Because i kept having problems with my old HASS i installed a brand new clean HASSOS hoping this would solve my problem.

I had a Conbee II + ZHA which worked fine. After that i thought to make it better i would switch to Sonoff E and later even to Z2M + Sonoff (P of E, have both). Big mistake…

Since this i have also bought a Skyconnect.
To use the Skyconnect you first need to install Silicon Labs Multiprotocol (right?). So i did that.
This started but looking at the logfile i don’t think this is good:

[19:34:26:730856] WARNING : In function ‘property_get_single_endpoint_state_and_reply_to_pending_open_callback’ in file /usr/src/cpc-daemon/server_core/system_endpoint/system_callbacks.c at line #176 : Property-get::PROP_ENDPOINT_STATE aborted
[19:34:26:730919] WARNING : In function ‘property_get_single_endpoint_state_and_reply_to_pending_open_callback’ in file /usr/src/cpc-daemon/server_core/system_endpoint/system_callbacks.c at line #210 : Could not read endpoint state on the secondary

Configuration looks like:

/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Nabu_Casa_SkyConnect_v1.0_849465b7c696ed1188d2be98a7669f5d-if00-port0

Baudrate: 115200
Hardware flow control: YES
Automatically flash firmware: YES
Enable OpenThread Border Router: YES
OTBR firewall: YES

When i try to install ZHA now i get 3 options:

  • /dev/ttyUSB0 - SkyConnect v1.0, s/n: 849465b7c696ed1188d2be98a7669f5d - Nabu Casa
  • socket://core-silabs-multiprotocol:9999 - Multiprotocol add-on - Nabu Casa
  • Enter Manually

I should pick the first one right?
After picking the first one i get this screen:

EZSP = Silicon Labs EmberZNet protocol: Elelabs, HUSBZB-1, Telegesis
ZNP = Texas Instruments Z-Stack ZNP protocol: CC253x, CC26x2, CC13x2
deCONZ = dresden elektronik deCONZ protocol: ConBee I/II, RaspBee I/II
ZiGate = ZiGate Zigbee radios: PiZiGate, ZiGate USB-TTL, ZiGate WiFi
XBee = Digi XBee Zigbee radios: Digi XBee Series 2, 2C, 3

I should pick the EZSP one right?

after this screen i get the serial port settings and whatever i do here it doesn’t connect.
/dev/ttyUSB0
57600
Hardware/Software

What am i doing wrong? I was kind of hoping after all my issues when i would use a SkyConnect it would just go a bit easier…

Any ideas?

I think you made some wrong assumptions :

Only if you flashed the multiprotocol firmware first.

Remove Silicon Labs Multiprotocol , restart HA, continue from there:

Should i have flashed that firmware first? Prefer to know and do it know and not when i have paired all my devices :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: i think my stick already dus multi. I am seeing Thread integration. After 3 reinstalls it finally works…
