Slimmelezer+ with DSMR 2.2 (Iskra MT 382) meter trouble

Has anyone succeeded in getting Slimmelezer+ fully working with a DSMR 2.2 meter?

  • The newest firmware does not work because that does not support DSMR 2.2 (so you don’t receive values)
  • The “SlimmeLezer firmware for DSMR 2.x with state_fix” does not work: the electricity sensors work fine, but the sensor.gas_delivered cannot be added to the energy dashboard (it’s not in the list). It does seem to get values though.
  • I received an updated version for DSM2.x from Marcel. In this version the gas sensor can be added to the energy dashboard, but it does not get any values (state remains unknown).
  • Even flashed esp-link on it and tried the “DSMR Slimme Meter integratie” integration, but that gets only weird results: can’t connect to it unless I select DSMR 5s, which my meter isn’t, so I again don’t get any values.

p.s. Getting pretty disappointed. I had a spare Raspberry Pi 3 lying around which I probably could use to readout the P1 port, but I don’t have the time or energy to figure that out. When the Slimmelezer+ with it’s seamless integration in HA was announced, I bought that as I thought it was an out of the box working solution. Instead, I’ve spend 2 of my holidays trying to get it to work now, learning about DSMR versions, esp-link, esphome, flashing devices, etc.

After a lot of tinkering, flashing numerous new firmware I finally got it to work (with great help from Marcel Zuidwijk). But sadly not by an official Slimmelezer+ firmware, but by running an alpha version of esp-link on it and using a different integration in HA. Not that pretty, but at least I am receiving data!

Hi Dropmans,
I have the same problem with the Iskra MT382.

I’m using firmware for dsmr 2.x, but I don’t see all the data.
I only see energy consumed and produced for tarif 1 and 2, and the power consumed and produced.

My biggest problem is the gas consumption … would be great if that could be added.
Do you get the gas-consumption?
How did you get it to work?

Yes, I did get it to work, but not with the normal firmware, see the post above yours.
For details on how to do this, you should best contact Marcel Zuidwijk himself, he has to supply you with the correct version of esp-link (i got an alpha version) and configuration changes.

I also experienced the same issue with my Iskra MT382. I’ve managed to solve it using this tutorial, which is probably what you guys also did:

Basically, you write the latest ESP link firmware (which apparently is an alpha version from 2017!) instead of the default one from SlimmeLezer. Ensure to apply the settings as described in the tutorial from the link above, otherwise, it won’t work with DSMR 2.2. But afterward, I was able to connect it to HA by manually adding the DSMR Slimme Lezer integration. And the gas meter did properly report the Gas consumption now (which it didn’t do before).

Lastly, I’ve changed the Energy dashboard accordingly to use the correct meters. Be aware that it might take several hours before the graphs are shown in your dashboard.
