I’ve been using HA with Google Home voice assistant without issue until recently. Since January (?), when Google Home was upgraded, I’ve notice a delay of five, ten even fifteen seconds when issuing a command.
A little history - to eliminate Google’s confirmation message, I created a number of HA scripts to perform the operation that I ask Google Home to undertake. These scripts have worked flawlessly without delay until Google revised their HOME application. Since then, there has significant delay between when a voice request is issued until the action action takes place (script execution).
I’ve always wondered if I have configured HA, Google Home correctly. The delay has caused me to ask this question to those in this forum. What is your experience with the HA integration on Google Home? Do you use scripts to execute requests, turn lights on/off? Are you experiencing delays in execution of scripts? What is the correct way to configure HA to work with Google Home?
Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
