I have many of the Phillips Hue smart buttons in my home. They are very small, work well, and as a magnet can easily stick to many surfaces without glue/tape/etc.
I’m finding myself in need of another button for a project, but it looks like Phillips has discontinued that version of their button?
I’m now wondering what the smallest button available is that is still in production. Something even smaller than the hue button would be awesome, but from the searching I’ve done so far - everything out there actually seems to be MUCH larger, including the button that Phillips is replacing it with.
Anyone know of anything out there that is truly tiny?
The Aquara Wireless Mini Switch (zigbee) is pretty small. 45mmx45mm square. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s been working well for me.
I used to like the Aotec “SmartThings Button” (built in temp, built in magnets also a tiny bit smaller 42x42mm) but they’re pricey, compared to the Aquara or Tuya buttons.
I have a lot of the V1 that has been discontinued used all over, the one that is about 1-inch around or so. I’m mainly using them to turn on nightstands and things like that. From what I’m finding it was the smallest one that was made. I use them without the wall plate.
I have a metal side table that I have one stuck to that controls the lights in my game room, but the one I want to get will just be used to fire off a Wake on LAN command to my TV and gaming PC that is hooked up to it. I switched from Intel to AMD for the motherboard, so I lost being able to wake it up from powered off via USB.
It is looking like I need to just find another one of these used as everything posted or that I’ve found so far is quite a bit larger, Amazon seems to have some ‘like new’ ones - though $35 is kind of pricey.
