Tuya local does this very well

That’s great, thank you. The Calibo is probably top of my list at the moment.

That second question of mine was in relation to the Ventair Skyfan and tuya-local.

My friend / sparky who fitted them was impressed with them too.

Ok. Sorry my bad

Does anyone have experience with the Hunter Pacific Evolve (https://hunterpacificinternational.com.au/product/evolve-ec-dc/#tab-id-1) with the Wi-Fi module (https://hunterpacificinternational.com.au/smart-wifi-module/) and tuya-local?

What type of switch/controller do you have on the wall?

At the moment, all my ceiling fans are controlled by Clipsal Iconic, 3 speed rotary controllers.

Just the master power isolator. Then use the remote control and/or HA

Do you mean a mechanical switch, like a light switch?

yes - I just had the electrician add an additional switch on the wall panel for each fan.

Hey @jata is your Calibo Cloudfan one with an LED light in it, and if so, is that controllable with HA?

yes and yes. Working really well in HA with tuya local integration

Sadly it looks like James might not be selling the premade wifi modules for skyfan anymore, the product page no longer exists

I have decided to go for dumb, AC fans and use Clipsal Wiser Fan Controllers instead.

This is a good option, EyZEE fan light switch will integrate with TUYA to control the smart ceiling fan and then the zigbee switch is fully controlled in HA.

Yeah, fine for AC fans, but no support for DC fans, integrated lights or fan direction…

no need for TUYA rubbish, it’s ZigBee.

You won’t get support for DC fans from an AC connected wall switch.
