We have a smart kitchen exhaust hood from Fisher & Paykel (Haier).
It allows setting 3 fan speeds and dimmable light.
The Smart HQ app works fine on my WiFi network controlling those functions.
I’d like to migrate those functions to HA and set a timer based on humidity in the kitchen.
Any suggestions for a newbie how to go about that? There doesn’t appear to be an integration for Smart HQ or GEA in HA.
Cheers.
Thanks for the heads-up!
Followed that new rabbit hole. A search discovered it as an Apple integration sub-option.
Following that lead, I clicked on it and got the message “No unpaired devices could be found” with the only terse option of closing the windows…
I re-read the contradictory instructions on the page you linked. It says to remove the device from its app. Elsewhere it says to follow the makers instructions to connect it to my network… I can’t do both, can I?
So I reset it (to make it blink again) and tried Apple HomeKit again. Same result.
Am I missing something?
