Smart kitchen with Home Assistant

Hello! I’m looking for some fun ideas for my smart kitchen with Home Assistant. I already have a smart oven, a smart cooktop, and a smart dishwasher. I also have a coffee corner. Does anyone have any cool ideas or automation scenarios to make all of this work together intelligently?

Don’t mention smart coffee makers! People here are serious about coffee.

I can see a smart coffee pot and a smart dishwasher but I fail to see the use case for a smart oven or cook top.

those two things aren’t something I would want to be able to have any remote control over or any automations controlling it. it seems to me that turning on a stove or oven while unattended can only be asking for possible catastrophe.

The samsung cooktop & oven one tells you it’s on or not.
It controls the oven light
It tells you the temp and the timer of the ovens, and you can set the recipe. All the other on/off is not available in HA or in the smartthings app. It’s useless.
It might track the power usage, but I never looked.
I thought I read somewhere that it can control the smart range hood though, not sure. That would be helpful.

I saw someone made a garage (automatic opening) for their robovac under the kitchen counters, looked like a fun project.

Smart cooktop could be useful if you pair it with other smart stuff.
Like a termometer in the pot to measure when the water is boiling and adjust the temperature/power on the cooktop to make sure it doesn’t boil over.

But if you can’t even control it as ^^ says then I really can’t see any use of it.
Just clogging up the wifi.

Smart cook top would be excellent for helping someone with Dementia or Alzheimer’s.

I’ve seen quite a few posts from people asking how to monitor the cook top in case their parent starts it and wanders off forgetting it’s on.

That’s a really good use case.
