Smart lighting for new home in Australia

Hey there my fellow aussies,
I’m building a new home in Melbourne and was looking to all of you smarty pants for some advice.

What would be the best recommendation for whole home smart lighting that’s compatible with HA? Smart switches or relays like Shelly or fibaro? If smart switches then again, any recommendations? Zigbee vs zwave?

Also, any trusted installers in Melbourne or places where you buy your equipments?

Looking forward to your inputs.

Cheers

I’m pretty happy with my Clipsal Wiser dimmers and switches (Zigbee). Works with ZHA or Z2M with any zigbee dongle (no need for the Wiser Hub).

Just don’t use the no neutral puck dimmers. Use the push button mech dimmers that have a neutral. The pucks have flickering issues even with Clipsal’s own downlights.

So use this:

Not this:

They are routers so every switch in your house will build a very robust mesh.

They are not especially cheap.
