Two years ago, I made a (free) custom star chart for my niece as a Christmas gift, and I wrote a guide explaining how I did it.
This year, I thought it would be a great gift on an e-Paper display using ESPHome. This way, I can display how much time has passed since the date of the star chart, the current date, the next calendar event and battery level, besides the star chart itself.
I used the reTerminal E1001, but you can use any other e-Paper display. You can find the full code here.
I also made a video showing the whole process (sorry, it’s in Spanish
