I have the following smart switch and I am trying to use it as a heartbeat for my zigbee. I want to publish {“state”:“off”,“countdown”:30} every 20 seconds so that when my zigbee device fails the light would turn on.
However when you publish the countdown it doesn’t get picked up again.
It appears that because the state doesn’t change the timer cannot either.
Does anyone know what I could do? Or suggest a different switch for this purpose?
I cannot get force_update to work.
