SmartHQ Error When Authenticating - OATH2.0

I'm trying to configure SmartHQ integration via HACS. I've gotten to the point where I have created the app, but when I go to authenticate after supplying the clientid and client password, I am getting the following error:

OATH2.0 Error
Error: Error: invalid_request
User session expired. Please start over

I've logged out and logged back in several times always with the same result. Anyone have a fix for this?

I don't know if it's related but my SmartHQ authorization expired yesterday. Trying to log back in is being denied by wrong username or password

I think I'm logged in to my device (A window AC unit) thru homekit.
