Hi, I am using an air conditioner that is supposed to use the “SmartLife-SmartHome” app according to the manual. I managed to connect it to the “smart life - smart living” app (Tuya). You need to delete the device from the first app, then you can reconnect it to the Tuya app and use the Home Assistant integration. I don’t know if it works for all devices, good luck.

I just bought an air conditioner from Lowe’s thinking it was Tuya but it uses the new app 
I’ve had no luck getting it to pair with my older app, it uses a new pairing method with a printed code in the manual + wireless setup.
Hello All i had the exact same problem and i solve it…
1st Remove your Air condition from the smartlife app
2nd go to Tuya smart app
3rd press the + to add a device and choose Large home appliance and then the Air condition with the wifi
Now its the tricky part. Choose your wifi and then confirm that the indicator is blinking. Now my Air Condition had 2 methods to add Method 1 by CF and method 2 By AP. Choose the AP method and press in tuya the Blink Slowly button follow the instraction an there you are

Is it this way controlled with the Tuya integration? Does it appear as supported in Home Assistant?
I can also confirm. Removing the Device from the “violet coloured” app and then add it to the tuya app works, after that I can use theaircon via localtuya and also the normal tuya cloud not only via Home Assistant but also via IoBroker…

I was able to integrate an Ariston Kios AC following the steps in this discussion: remove the device from SmartLife, set it in AP mode, add it in Tuya and then add Tuya integration to Home Assistant.
