It’s been awhile… so I’ve decided to try and re-post this to see if anyone has managed
to resolve this issue (or someone besides me has seen it before)… The integration HAS
previously worked on the same hardware, but I goofed and had to wipe/try again. I have
never been able to re-add it due to this error. The error occurs after I generate the token
on the SmartThings website and try to plug-it-in to Home Assistant. I then receive the error
and cannot proceed…
The error as it appears when trying to add the SmartThings Integration:
My current setup:
- Home Assistant utilizing Docker on Debian (little Intel NUC)
Things I have tried:
-
Completely wiping my install and starting from scratch
-
Adding the integration on a completely different platform/installation
*Note: I receive the same error on my little oDroid I ordered from HA. -
Bought an actual new SmartThings HUB (I kinda had to because of the Shield dongle I was using)
and brought ALL of my old devices to the new HUB/location I created in SmartThings. -
Went seeking help on the SmartThings forums and tried a few suggestions recommended there:
https://community.smartthings.com/t/issue-unable-to-integrate-smartthings-into-home-assistant-the-token-does-not-have-the-required-oauth-scopes/213102 -
Tried integration using SSL and through Nabu Casa (both generate same error)
-
I’ve ran the SmartApp removal tool for SmartThings on my installation (the python script)
-
Banged my head against the wall countless times…
If ANYONE has seen something similar and managed to resolve it… please let me know?
I have ran out of things to try. I really love Home Assistant and have tried to just USE it as
much as possible, but I have a few devices that I need to bring over through SmartThings…
I really appreciate the help!
